French Louis XV Carved Oak Console with Marble Top, Circa 1750. A boldly carved Louis XV console table in oak, retaining its original shaped rouge royal marble top, France, circa 1750. The serpentine apron features finely detailed shell and trellis motifs centered by a carved palmette, with scrolling acanthus supports and an exuberant stretcher medallion. Strong Rococo movement and deep relief carving throughout. Provincial in origin, yet executed with notable sophistication.  31 x 51 x 26 1/2 in.
