French Andirons, Landiers, 17th Century Hand Wrought

17th century wrought iron French Gothic andirons or landiers.  These are large and have lovely etched geometric detail throughout.  This type of early French andiron dates from the when andirons were primary cooking tools, having spit hooks to grill meat or poultry and sometimes a cup to keep drinks warm.
