Italian (Venetian) Settee, 19th Century, possibly earlier, the dramatic peaked back descending to exaggerated out-swept arms supported by a deeply carved walnut frame over five ogee form legs ending in scroll feet. The canape having a subtle golden upholstery that appears to be a silk velvet.
