Rare Louis XV French Early 18th Century Toile Peinte Tapestry

A rare Louis XV French, early 18th century “toile peinte” tapestry, depicting a fantasy wooded landscape with exotic birds  in tones typical of Aubussontapestry C. 1770. Similar works, considered national treasures, hang in the Musee Prebytere Savennieres in Angers, France. 

Note: The creases in the photos are from the piece being transported folded, but are no longer so apparent -- we will post photos of the piece (sans creases) soon!
