RARE SPODE CHRYSANTHEMUM PATTERN GRAVY BOAT and Plate

Magnificent and rare Spode Chrysanthemum pattern gravy boat in nautilus form with conforming tray, c. 1800.   Lavish design with fleur-de-lis large cobalt blue leaves and stylized lotus blossom, all accented with gilt paint. Decoration includes blue, purple, pink, gold and orange flowers with scattered green and orange leaves which surround a pink and white scallop shell edged in cobalt and gilt at the center. This piece is fully marked with both impressed and painted marks for Spode and the decorator. The stand is 12" l.  x 8 1/2" w.the gravy is 10" x 6" and stands at 7 3/4".
