Set of lovely floral pattern Chinese Export, 12 plates and 7 bowls, c. 1760, from the Estate of Dr. Stephen Goodyear, Charlottesville, all in good condition, though many preemptive early staple repairs to hairlines. Were used regularly in this condition. Dr. Stephen Goodyear was the son of Anson Conger Goodyear, the first president of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Like his father, Dr. Goodyear was a devoted collector of fine art and antiques.
